From the 2-nd till the 11-th of June, 2010, in Moscow, in the Column Hall of the Dom Sojuzov, the 5-th Festival of Symphony orchestras of the World is taking place. The Festival is devoted to the Day of Russia.

This outstanding forum of classic music, first held in 2006, has obtained the merited continuation through becoming annual. In his speech to the Festival participants Dmitry Medvedev noted: “During the time of its existence your unique creative forum has presented the public with many a brilliant discovery and joyful meeting, has become the true feast of high arts which does not require translation and surmounts any distances and boundaries”.

While in the preceding Festivals the European orchestras were presented, this time we are glad to offer to the public’s attention the dialogue between the East and the West.

The Festival’s programs contain the masterpieces of the West European classic music, Russian music, and new works of Asian composers never performed in Russia.
