Alexander Anissimov is one of the most sought-after conductors in the world. He serves as the Principal Conductor of the National Symphony Orchestra of Belarus, Russia, Perm State Opera, Russia. He is one of the most honored artists of Russia. He has toured extensively as a guest conductor of opera and symphonic programmes throughout the former Soviet Union, in Moscow at the Bolshoi Theater and in Leningrad at the Kirov Opera. He worked with Mstislav Rostropovich in England and Spain in 1993 conducting Benjamin Britten’s War Requiem in Seville and Bilbao.
